I put lv_conf.h in the include dir of my project.. If I remember correctly, this worked: platformio.ini. build_flags = -D LV_CONF_INCLUDE_SIMPLE -I include ESPHome always generates an entirely new project in a build folder and builds that only with the components that the project needs. The specific issue you are seeing above is because that lv_conf.h file is generated by the python parts of ESPHome during this process.

Go to lvgl and copy lv_conf_template.h as lv_conf.h into the Arduino Libraries directory next to the lvgl library folder. Open lv_conf.h and change the first #if 0 to #if 1 to enable the content of the file; Set the color .

If you do it first time - agree, when it suggests to install PlatformIO plugin, and wait when PlatformIO then install build tools and package dependencies. So with the following build flags in your platformio.ini this should allow you simply put the lv_conf.h into your src folder.. build_flags = -Isrc/ -DLV_CONF_INCLUDE_SIMPLE As there was no activity here for a while we close this issue. For what its worth, I could not get this to work under Arduino IDE 2.3.2 I tried the above suggestions but always got errors. not found (tried it with "process.h") was the main one that caused me to think "stuff this" so I fired up a new install of VS Code, install extensions for Platform IO and Python, let it do its thing for setup.
